Leadership Team

Mr. Lipman founded Preylock in 2015 and serves as its Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer. In this capacity, he has ultimate responsibility for the Firm’s investment strategy, operations, risk management, and investor relationships. Under Mr. Lipman’s leadership, Preylock has solidified itself as an established real estate investment and management company with over $4 billion in assets under management and a leading investor of office properties primarily located in technology-centric markets in the Western U.S. including Seattle, Northern and Southern California and Nevada. Mr. Lipman’s distinguished career in real estate and finance includes pivotal roles at JP Morgan, Ernst & Young, and Highbridge Capital Management, prior to his tenure as Portfolio Manager at RMA, where he managed a diverse portfolio. His extensive experience, spanning multiple real estate sectors and strategic financial roles, is further enhanced by his membership in the New York State Bar. Mr. Lipman graduated from Yeshiva University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, receiving the Dean’s award for excellency and finishing first in his class in Finance, and received his JD from Fordham University School of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Mr. Shokouhi is President and a partner of Preylock. Mr. Shokouhi has been involved in all aspects of commercial real estate acquisition, entitlement, development, construction, leasing, financing and dispositions for the company and his predecessor company since 1997. Mr. Shokouhi is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day development process for projects across all asset classes throughout the country. In addition, Mr. Shokouhi oversees Preylock’s existing operating portfolio companies. Mr. Shokouhi graduated from the University of California Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts and holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School. Mr. Shokouhi served as a member of the Board of Trustee for CUNY Graduate Foundation.

Mr. Sapanza serves as Chief Financial Officer and oversees the Firm’s accounting, tax, financial reporting and treasury functions. He is also actively involved with the capital markets efforts related to Preylock’s portfolio of investments as well as its investor communications. He was formerly Vice President – Finance and Accounting at CIM Group where he oversaw the accounting and financial reporting for real estate funds in excess of $10 billion in assets under management. Prior to that, Mr. Sapanza was a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young in the real estate audit practice. Mr. Sapanza is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated from the University of Southern California.
